If you are from India and have an Indian PayPal account then you can add funds to your PayPal account by using your Credit/Debit Card having a logo of MasterCard, Discover or American Express. You may also get funds by your friend if they can send funds using their PayPal account.
Now talking about withdrawal of funds from your PayPal account, you may get funds by transferring them to your card, to your bank account or by requesting a cheque.
The fee for card withdrawal is $ 5, for bank withdrawal it is Rs. 50 if the amount is less than Rs. 7000 and no fee for amounts exceeding Rs.7000. For bank transfer your bank should be NEFT enabled and you should know IFSC(Indian Financial System Code) of your bank branch. If you don't know IFSC Code then you may call your bank for it. And at last, the fee for requesting a cheque is $ 15(unsure).
I hope it helps, feel free to comment back if you want to know anything else.

I am surprised at your expression of " Headache". I have never had any complications in dealing with both the companies.
Credit card is the easiest option. You need to enter your credit card details , which is followed by a small transaction ( paypal takes a micro amount & alert pay adds a micro amount to your CC) A transaction code is mentioned in the credit card statement, once you enter them, your card & paypal/alerpay function like one entity.
If you do not want to wait till your CC statement comes home, pls check online for unbilled transactions to get the transaction code.
This one time headache
is for our safety & to double check that the card actually belongs to us. Paypal also has a new requirement to fill in the Pan Number. This requirement is in compilation with RBI guidelines.
PM me in case you need any assistance. In Fact alertpay staff are very helpful & extremely courteous over phone. You may also call them directly for clarifications.
