Would Charles Barkley make a good General Manager in the NBA?

Charles Barkley recently stated that he wanted to be a GM in the NBA. He wanted to run a team without being controlled and allow him to be himself not a puppet. With Steve Kerr resigning from Phoenix, there is an opportunity. Cleveland and L.A. Clippers also offer opportunities. Most people konw Barkley as the favorite of the TNT basketball experts as well as the Taco Bell and cell phone commercials. Barkley was a great NBA player in the 1980s and early 90's. He lead Phoenix to NBA finals in 1993 and was the NBA MVP for that season. Would Barkley make a good or bad GM and why?
