if given the chance to learn another language, what language would that be?

I wanted to learn a lot of languages, but i think it will took me a while for that to do. if to choose out of all language i would want to learn, i'll go for chinese first and then japanese. I think its easy when it comes to chinese and of course very useful... what about you? which language would you want to learn first, given the chance to. Why?

mainly I know three languages apart from my mother tongue,English,Hindi,Sanskrit..I would like to learn "French" language...I have started learning "online" before two years ago but I know that is not enough to learn French language.

WEll I don't know for what reasons, but Chinese attracts me due to their scripts. I think Japanese should be the next one for same reasons. But before I go for foreign languages, I need to learn many Indian Languages too.

i see your point when it comes to chinese and japanese. why would you go for indian languages then?

i already know 6 diff languages and im more than happy to learn sanskrit, french, chinese and japanese.. first prefernce wud be sanskrit as it is the origin for all the languages

yes exactly for chinese first and then for arabic and then for japanese because in china there is so much technology is there so i want to be familiar with that language and want to be with chinese websites.

I think its really advantageous to study chinese now since china is growing and i know a lot of americans are learning chinese because when it comes to business, china is booming. labor wise as well.

When it comes to global competitiveness, there are a lot of people speaking Spanish, so I would prefer Spanish. Afterwards, I would prefer French then Portuguese. I would also consider Japanese then Chinese. That could be a very long way ahead. I am starting with Spanish.

I would love to learn either Arabic, mandarin or Japanese. The problem with all these is that they are very hard to learn for Westerners. I will try though and give Arabic a shot in the near future.
