"There are NO FREE LUNCHES-Neither in the Real World Nor in the Virtual one!"

Hey Friends, I joined Mylot some weeks back.....and am feeling quite amazed/annoyed at the naivete which I come across in these very spaces - "make extra money". It is, at times, amusing to read posts/responses by fellas who are BLATANTLY trying to make a referral for a product/company/website they themselves don't know much about. They have been gullible enough to believe the hype of this website and now they wait here - in these forums, to chance upon equally gullible newbies looking to hit jackpot! My concern is that a new member asking for advice is placing his/her trust in the members of this forum, and all they get are 'in your face' referral links instead of good genuine advice, which they need to hear. Topping the list of advice under 'making money online' is - "THERE ARE NO FREE LUNCHES AND ANYONE LOOKING FOR THAT IS ASKING TO BE SCAMMED BIG TIME!" I've seen posts where people boast about having 100s of PTC sites in their kitty....I would really love to know if we have any millioniare among us from "pay to click" gang! Please guys, let's get real! And more importantly, let's display some ethics while giving 'advice'. Would love to hear what do others feel about this!

Actually, earning money online is not that easy. You have to research a bit on your own. Even in real life, you tend to consult more people before making final decisions. There are always people who only gives superficial answers or advice. Actually, most sites don't really need you to invest money. Most scam sites just waste your time there.

Hi minotaur: I agree with you. It's silly to join a site just because you have read from someone else that he/ she "has already earned $100, etc). People want to convince you to be their referrals so, some dishonest persons don't say the truth when they give their advices. And of course, I prefer the sites where you don't have to invest any money to participate and earn some money. Thanks for your answer. Have a nice day. ALVARO.

I have learnt now to just ignore these discussions that I class as spam!! If it was so easy to make the sort of money that often gets bandied about on here the world would be full of rich people!!! I joined myLot in the hope of making a little extra money, which i have done, but the main enjoyment is being able to join in discussions with people from all over the world, learning all sorts of interesting information, 'meeting' new people and having fun. myLot won't make me a millionaire but it will pay be a decent little amount for having fun - you can't ask for more than that can you!!

HI alchan: I completely agree with you on this statement. People should be honest when they give these advices and don't lie just to have another referral on their list. I think it's not fair and this makes that some people lose their faith on the system. I think we have to know that everyone wants to obtain something and that there are no free lunches or we'd probably have a deception. Thanks for sharing with us your thoughts on this subject. Have a nice day. ALVARO.

I too joined myLot about 3 weeks ago and immediately got the same gut feeling. I especially loath when someone tries to friend me and immediately send me a private message to join their site. Although all advise is helpful, a person one has to take everything they read as a grain of salt. There are many factual reasons why people join myLot; one obviously most appealing is that they will get paid for socializing. Then there are those that immediately jump into the opportunity of sharing their links with hopes to yet gain another referral. Then you have those that yes, sign up for the extra money but find themselves caring so much valid responses get warranted. Are their any millionaire here on myLot? From from it, if there were they would not be attaining a few more cents daily just to chat. Instead it is my opinion, and sorry to say that perhaps a great many of the newbies get scammed by other myLot users as well. Which is unfortunate as myLot is really a great place to socialize, give and get advice.
