Gift cards can be almost as good as cash agree or disagree?

Remember I said almost as good as cash.
Today I earned and recived my 15th gift card from swagbucks I always get so exited when I recive the email notice from swagbucks for an amazon gift card lol.
Anyway I know a lot of us are looking for new and faster ways to earn online, but in my opinion receiving free gift cards is pretty cool too, almost as cool as getting cash especially if the gift card is to your favorite website or store and you dont really have to do offers to get them. dont get me wrong cash is always better but gift cards can be used to buy food, get clothing, even load your paypal account.
What are your thoughts on receiving gift cards instead of cash?

Nope i never received any gift cards until now from any online sites...looks like swagbucks is really good when it comes making money and for free gifts.unfortunately it doesnt accept international members.If i were to choose between hard cash and gift cards then i would go for the former

Yes I agree that gift cards are about the same as cash when it comes to earning online. No you can't pay your bills with it, but you can buy things you need on amazon. Earning free gift cards is to me giving you free money to spend on whatever you may need as long as it's available at that particular online store. Amazon has like everything so for me it'd be nice.

Yes gift cards can come in real handy I'm thankful that there are sites like swagbucks that dont make it impossible to get them, most of the time you just have to search and answer poll questions to get an amazon card, but they have a lot of other gift cards too.

I think they are pretty much as good as cash, assuming there is a good variety of gift cards to pick from. But although I use swagbucks and have cashed out many times, I don't pick out gift cards. I select the paypal cash option Swagbucks offers. Because I guess in the long run I'd rather have cash. But gift cards are fine with me too!

Gift cards are as good as cash! You can use it to buy things you want with lesser cash to spend!

I agree with you because you can have the good stuff you like by using gift cards. Anyway, is swagbucks offers open to international members?. I mean most of the survey sites I encounter only accepts members from US/UK/CA? how about this one because I am quiet tempted with your post of getting your 15th gift card.

Yes but only US and UK members I'm not sure about CA you can check FAQ, also surveys are optional you really dont have to complete them to earn swag dollars all you do pretty much is search online answer poll questions view offers but you dont have to sign up to offers to get the cards.
You dont need a bunch of active referrals either. I mean sure referrals are helpful but if you dont get any you can still earn a prize you can even earn digital dollars while you shop there, thats why I like swagbucks.

For me giftcards are really pointless. The reason behind this is because I rarely use anything that needs a gift card, since I live outside the US or UK. The giftcards that some websites offer have no positive factors toward the products I buy, usually. So most of the time I would definitely prefer cash.

Oh sorry that your experience's with gift cards hasn't been pleasant thats probably because of those limitations you posted about.
But here in the US you can buy food clothing even load cash into your paypal with gift cards, and some gift cards even allow us to buy things like ps2 and ps3 its unfortunate that your country dosent have many options when it comes to gift cards, but maybe someday that will change. thanks for stopping in.

We cannot use cash to shop online, so gift cards are a nice thing for people without credit/debit cards. I prefer to get Visa gift cards because they can be used anywhere, while Amazon gift cards can only be used on Amazon. There is one bad thing when using a gift card and that is I will have a few cents left over I cannot spend on anything. There are those reloadable gift cards but they have fees attached and are not worth it.

I think gift cards are just as good as cash. Sometimes they are even better. They are easy to hang on to and easy to use. They are very convenient and there are so many places that gift cards are bouught and sold. It makes gift giving and life in general so much easier. If we lose a gift card, it is just like losing our cash. I aam always happy to give or receive a gift card. No one is usually disappointed.

Well... yeah, receiving gift cards is cool. That's usually because its free. You'd have to be a real jerk to say, HEY GIVE ME CASH INSTEAD. But really... give me cash instead. Gift Cards limit you alot. Some gift cards for you to use x-amount, and some you end up using your real cash because of tax or something. Also, if you receive one of those store giftcards that you wouldnt have shopped there in the first place, or its not for you, then its basically a waste of a gift card. I once won a gift card from someone, when i looked at it, i saw that the person had paid $4.95 for the card in addition to the value of the card. I thought to myself why would anyone buy these? Just slip some money in a envelope. But amazon gift cards are pretty good for their wide selection. But then you're limited to amazon.

Dear Apples99,
I agree with you.When we received the gift cards from our favourite website or store we can used it to buy a things with discount price and have a choice whether we need to used it for buy a food,clothing or any misc using the gift card.
The other way, we keep the gift cards till any special occasion like birthday,anniversary,fathers day or mothers day and buy a gift for our beloved one.This is interesting because we have extra saving when using cash and gift cards when buying somethings.
