Jobless rate is still going up from recent report. Many people are still hunting for jobs, and our recession still down at the moment. There were many factors still affecting people's confidence toward this market. So, I just wonder would craigslist.org; or yahoo! hot jobs; or maybe Monster.com are all the reliable resources to find a job? How likely they would consider calling you? Or maybe there are too many scams up in those websites. Maybe you can check out the local newspaper classified ads; or even to the staffing agency. What do you think?

I am among those searching for work. I have gotten most of my interviews by sending resumes to job listing on Craigslist. Although they still have scams on all of the above sites.

Is craigslist.org job list trustable? Because I heard so many bad comments on this website. By any chance, they really have a reliable work facility to hire people, and they will pay?

id your from philippines then you can count on job streets and also some legitimate job agency that certify by jobstreet and by the government that would be the easiest way to seek for job. My girlfriend now are try to apply on jobstreet and every day he gets new company to apply for she was referred by job street and some agency the only responsible you have is to pass the interview and exam of the company referred to you. there are really lots of jobs out there the only reason why in the survey there are lots of jobless because those people are not qualify for those job and most of them don't seek job they only make survey in the place where people are not looking for jobs. one of my older brother even if he don't get a nice degree on college and only have a 2 year course he still manage to get a nice job with good salary and also call center company are always hiring. It is up to the person whether he get a job or not and it is not because of the economy we are facing now. well this is only my own opinion and point of view base on what I observe I am also a job hunter but as of now I don't seek for job because I think if I become serious in this online earning and in this site I could earn enough money same in the salary of those office worker. if you only know the right way to earn money online you can be a big time person.

yeah, I agree with you regarding jobstreet, it's a very helpful site and it's not a scam, some of my friends were able to get a job reference because of that website. Here in the Philippines, there are a lot of jobs that are being offered but some people say there are no jobs at all. We all have to work hard to look for work, its not as easy as enrolling in school and getting accepted. We have to try and try until we finally land one. Local newspapers are good sources of jobs as well because they are all legitimate companies and very low chance of getting scammed. Some of my mentors before reminded me that if we are desperately in need of a job, then we should not be choosy, even if its a low paying job at first, if you do it right and excel at it, then it can count as an experience and you can use it to apply for higher positions or higher paying jobs.

I just read local newspapers. Anyway, I still do not have any plans of going or applying for jobs which are far from our home. The websites that you have enumerated are all helpful. My friends have tried using those sites.

It would be difficult to choose best resource because they all work at times. I used to send my resume to consultants and employers directly when I had no experience and it did not work much. But now its easy to get interviews scheduled because of being in touch of many professionals on different sites. I have 6 years of experience so there are many friends from the same profession working in different companies. When I want to change my company, sending Resume to all my contacts is the first thing that I do. Friends are primary resource for me. Local newspapers might be help but I never tried that.

If a lot of the websites cannot be trusted I would consider going through the newspaper or joining an employment agency that would look for a job for you when they come across something that may be suitable. Another thing I did that got me my last job was send my C.V. out to many different places along with an introduction letter. My employer received it and phoned me to come in for an interview and I was fortunate enough to get the job. I think if you are seriously looking for work make job hunting your job and don’t give up, something will turn up eventually.

Craigslist and Careerbuilder have worked best for me! I've actually gotten jobs through both sites. I find that Craigslist actually seems to have the most jobs posted out of any of the classified type sites, maybe because it doesn't cost employers anything to post on there? You do have to be more careful though because there are a lot of scams on that site. Over all though I definitely think it's worth checking out! The most popular site that I've had the least amount of luck with is www.monster.com . I don't think there are nearly as many jobs posted on that site for my area as the other two I listed.

Job hunting used to mean pounding the pavement and knocking on doors. Then the classified became the way to find jobs in so many areas. The advancement of modern technology has taken job hunting a step further. The internet has done a lot to get the job information out there. The resources for job hunting now are endless.

Try to post your resume to job-finder websites. Try to compress your resume for at least two pages only containing all of working experiences, your achievements and your contributions tor the success of the company you worked before, college/university/technical education diploma or certificates. Make sure your that you are applying for the job you are qualified to and that you are very confident with what you are doing. I am positive that you will be short listed in no time.

I agree with the previous responses. Just make sure also that you have a 'killer' cover letter. Here in Japan, apart from job listings on the internet, we also have a government section that people can go to and search for jobs. Its a service for Japanese and foreigners alike. That's our taxes working for us =)

The best site I have used for job hunting is indeed.com. It is a great site to search for different types of jobs and it is easy to use!
