Hello Mylotters Today I shall share with you 2 things that I think will cure some common ailments, namely the cold and cough. With the cold, you might want increase your normal comsumption of garlic. The best I guess for the relief of colds would be to cook it in a chicken or whatever soup. With the cough, you might want to try drinking winter melon tea preferably at room temperature. The first I knew for a while but the second (for the cough) is new to me (credit due to my sisters in law husband). But it works and it so surprises me. All I will take for my cough is maybe two mormal drinking size boxes of yeos winter melon tea and the cough disappears. I suppose if you can get it from the Chinese medicinal shop, it will be even better. But remember that when you are in the pink of health, everything should be taken in moderation. Have you other natural remedies that I can use? Thank you in advance.

In the place where I live, cough can be relieved by consuming honey bee with crashed garlic. Another option is, blend grapes to have a cup and mix it also with a teaspoon of honey and the cough will be gone in no time.

I'd never heard of winter melon tea either. I use echinacea to help fight off a cold or other virus, along with goldenseal. I think every nation/country has natural remedies that are easier to find than having to buy remedies from other nations, but I know that Chinese medicine has almost perfected the art of natural healing.

Hmm I will look up echinacea and goldenseal. I am very into natural remedies and have sought for 'help' even when it is in another country. Now with the internet, you can find it online but it still requires some 'testing' to get the one that works for you. Not that i completely discard mordern medicine but I so happen to find a better solution for something and I am so thrilled! thanks for posting!!

That is great advice. I think Garlic is awesome! Natural remedies are far superior to the chemical ones which most mainstream doctors prescribe. Consuming natural foods and herbal teas will stop these common ailments from happening in the first place. I see lots of sick people all around me and when I tell them that I have not even had a common cold for years, they tell me I am lucky, or that I have good genes. I then tell them that it is not due to me being lucky at all. I used to get sick, but then I changed my habits and started choosing to live a healthy lifestyle. Most people are addicted to unhealthy eating and drinking habits. This is choosing to be sick. Another good remedy is ginger tea. I like to have this sometimes when it is cold as it is very warming and is great for helping to keep colds and flu away also.

Gas! That's interesting. I have not heard this about ginger before. I have been having lots of gas issues lately. I am trying to figure out what I have changed in my diet so that I can fix it. It is driving my wife nuts!

I love ginger tea. It a problem though if you are young and want to impress people. The thing is it gives me gas. But since I am no longer need to impress people, it gives my children great fun poking fun at me
