well i have read so many school books but i think i have read just 20-30 non school books. i think the number is too small that i can't regard myself as a reader. how about you, how many books have you read so far in your lifetime?

I have absolutely no idea how many books I have read. All I know is that I have read a lot of books. I have approximately 200 books lining up my bookshelf. That is only a small part of what I have read. I've got some in my mother's house and some in my in-laws house, and well, a lot of them I have exchanged back for another book, some I have given to someone. I am an avid reader, though I am finding less time to read these days.

So far may be I have read some six hundred books because I have develop the reading passion when I was only three and this is all thank to my grandfather who loved reading and he is the one who taught me the importance of reading too so I never missed a single book in school and even in books which I buy also. Every year I buy some thirty book to read.

Maybe 300? Hard to say, but I did count how many books I had one time and it was about 100, and that was back when I was a teenager and I'm in my 30's now. So, maybe more. And, that doesn't count library books. The number of series books I read (Baby Sitter's Club and Sweet Valley) would probably have put me well over 100 by the time I was 13. 300 might be low.

499. Yes, I actually counted. Pretty sad, right? I am a huge reader, but I'm still pretty young. (Only 19) In about three years, I think I'll be up to six or seven hundred. So far this year I've read 53 books, and I'm aiming for a hundred within the year.

Hi, Apart from text books? Uhm, well, I don't know. May be 2000 or more. But not all of them have a permanent impression in my mind. I remember excerpts from most of the books I read. The number 20-30 is very positive. It means you have a habit of reading books apart from your text books, and its admirable. I had more interest in reading stuffs that were not in my text books. My parents always encouraged me to read books. I have bought more than 2000 books so far. Read most of them. I have lost many of those books, though. Now my reading habit is not as strong as it used to be. I don't have enough time to read books outside engineering, though I still prefer to read beyond the syllabus. I hate being limited within such boundaries, especially when reading is concerned. Thanks God bless you

well i dont think that 20-30 is a good number but my school work is hindering me from reading more. But most of that is classics and some of them you can call philosophical. now that im out of school for months ill think that reading habit will increase.

If you really like classics that much download a few books from http://www.gutenberg.org/wiki/Main_Page for free. Read as much as you can. You will only enrich yourself more you can imagine.
