My poor son had such a rough day yesterday

He's 18 years old and just doesn't know what he wants to do yet. He's lying around the house most of the time but will do what his dad or I ask him to, most of the time. Yesterday was one of those days where he was just in a bad mood at the world and that is something his dad gets very upset with him over, so he and his dad had words throughout the day and my son was just very on edge. They finally had a good talk later in the day and his mood seemed to lighten. He came in the kitchen as I was taking the chicken out of the oven and getting it, and the potatoes and onions I had cooked with it onto the platter....he walked out but returned just as I was preparing icing for the cake, which consists of a bowl of coolwhip, a package of pudding and drained crushed pineapple. Poor Cory, IDK what he was thinking but his eyes got so big and he asked me, almost in horror, "Did you just put chicken in that cake icing." Sorry, but mom just couldn't help herself, "Yeap." I told him without messing a beat. Of course it was the pineapple not chicken! "Ugghhhhh." He said, "I'm not eating none of that cake!" The expression on his face was just priceless!! I told him right away. I wish there had been some way to snap a picture of his expression when he thought I was making chicken flavored icing for the cake!!

I think he is still young I am 27 and still don't have an idea, sometimes I think parents are so eager to have kids grow up life is short why not savour those years with them. We live to die why not live a little

I agree that he is still young...I'm not at all eager to have my children grow up, it's just it was so funny that he would even think that I had put chicken in the cake icing!!

Oh yeah, those priceless expressions are so short. Another story was I bought my husband a valentines gift at a little shop like goodwill, it was in a box that looked like a ring box but when you opened it it had a small bug with wriggly legs on it and said I Love You...my husband brought it home and told Cory, "Look what your mom got me for Valentines Day" Cory, being the skeptic that he is, looked at the box hesitantly for a minute and then started to open it up slowly. He's very scared of spiders and when he saw those legs moving he almost jumped out of his skin, when I say almost, the movement was so sudden and stopped just as sudden as he finished opening the box, but we had a good laugh (not at him, but just at his movement)...he said he didn't think we were funny at all..
