I just started dieting today. After gaining 47 1/2 pounds during my pregnancy I'd like to get into shape and lose that weight. I've lost 16lbs of it thus far. I made myself a bowl of cereal this morning and could not believe how little you are actually allowed. 3/4 cup of cereal and 1/2 cup of skim milk. That is like nothing compared to the amount I normally eat (a full bowl). I've realized that this is easier said than done and hoping I can actually stick with it. Are any of you mylotters dieting? What have you found helpful in your success? Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

That is good that you are sticking on your dieting program because whenever I start doing the same I feel that I am more hungry than normal days, but many doctors said that never starve yourself as that gives the body to absorb more food whenever you have that and can gain more weight....its better to reduce carbohydrates from food and take more proteins and take small small meal in every 3 hrs which include more raw vegetables and fruits.

Thank you for your response. It's only my first day but I have to remain confident that I can stick with it. I'm tired of being overweight. I will give you're advice a shot as well.

Hi! I know what you are feeling. It is really hard to lose weight especially to diet. I tried starving myself before, and would only eat fruits during breakfast, nuts for lunch, and nothing else on dinner. i got really thin, but I grew tired of it and ended up eating more than I used to. Whenever I want to lose some pounds, I say to myself that I would not be dieting, just eating healthir. Right now I don't really diet, I just eat healtheir and I think that it's better for me. I also started going to the gym again to complement my new lifestyle. If you really want to lose the baby weight, try going to the gym at least 3 times a week, or if you do not have time just do some exercises at home. There are a lot of work out videos that you can watch on Youtube. Also, do not put too much restriction on yourself when it comes to eating because you will feel more deprived. Just eat healthier like a whole wheat cereal or bread for breakfast, grilled fish and veggies for lunch, and salad for dinner. Also, remember to have a cheat day. Goodluck with your journey! :)

Thank you for your response. You have provided me with lots of helpful information. I do infact need to eat healthier. I know starving yourself can't be the way to go because the second you eat something you're not supposed to you gain it all back. I think I will try some workouts at home. I may invest in a Wii Fit. I've heard that is really helpful for weight loss. I really don't like to work out but I know it needs to be done to help me. I take my son on walks in the stroller when I can. Lately the weather has been terrible. Raining all the time and when it's not raining it's so humid. I appreciate you're advice and will give it a try.
