Okay, so have any of you done something, ate something, experienced something, many times, yet the last time was different? Like my dad. He ate shrimp many times in his life. About ten years ago he eats it and has an allergic reaction that almost killed him. Or like a heat wave. It's really hot and humid here, but that's Oklahoma. You get anywhere near here or the surrounding states and you just want to find a pool. It's always hot, and I always hate it. But I'm dizzy as all get out, and it has to be the heat. I've been out less in the heat this year than in the past summers, but I've got this constant dizziness. It's so annoying. Another example I have is just pure stupidity on my part. I had a friend I had known for five years. One day I look at her and realize she has freckles. A lot of them. I could tell you what color eyes she had, what color hair she had, how tall she was, but until that one time I looked at her, I didn't noticed the freckles. That was a long time ago. Hopefully, I'm more observant now. Any other examples of your own experience?

hi Ambie Pam I was just thinking in all the four or five years since I broke my shoulder in a bad fall I have used a cane and have never had any trouble with it,never had it skid or anything. well yesterday I was just walking across the floor in my room, and my roommate was fussing at me. She said I did not tell her I was going to breakfast so she overslept. I was trying to make her hear me and moved closet to her. I admit I was angry and somehow I stomped my quad cane down , but not on the floor, on my foot ouch yeowy hurt oh the pain. then she was all sympathy as I am hopping around trying to reason how I could have stomped my quad cane down on the next to little toe on my right foot. its now still painful with an ugly black bruise. my roomie says you broke it and today she maybe right its twice its normal size. but how it happened is so bizarre. I have walked with that same four footed cane for years and never had a mishap. wow.My roomie is quite deaf. she had said eah yeah I know yesterday morning when I told her it was almost seven and I was going down to eat.so I assumed she knew the time and would get up and come to breakfast.Instead she went back to sleep. NOw however I am very careful with my quad cane.

I've heard my mom say that the things she used to eat when she was younger, don't taste the same as she has gotten older. Not that she's even old - she's almost 51.

There are times when I look at someone who has new glasses and don't realize it for a while.....and sometimes I return to someone's house and it doesn't look at all like I remember it.....and...sometimes I make food my mom used to make with a certain taste I remember and it tastes totally different.....is my memory failing me or what? LOL

Hi AmbiePam, As a child one of my daughters would only eat seafood sticks and loved tuna too but as she has grown upshe can't even stand the smell of anything fishyand won't eat at all although the rest of the family does. Strange how out bodies changeoverthe years, so glad you dad was okay though. Huggles. Ellie :D

Hey Amber! Don't feel so bad! I was looking at something the other day and I also noticed something that I hadn't noticed every before! It was something that I had looked at a million times, but there was something different about it! And now I can't even tell you what the hell it was, just that I noticed something on it that I had never seen before! So, now it will drive me crazy trying to remember what it was that I noticed whatever it was on! And you think you have serious issues! At least you know which girlfriend you discovered the freckles on! If it comes to me I'll get back to you!

Hi Ambie! For food allergies, I went the opposite way. When I was little, strawberries used to make me break out in hives. Now I can't eat enough of them. Other than that, I really don't have any allergies...yet. I know they can develope at any time, so ya never know! As far as not noticing the freckles, don't feel bad. For many, the freckles really aren't apparent unless you've been out in the sun for a while. They tend to darken, just like other people tan. At least that's how I am. In the winter, or if I haven't had much sun, you can't hardly see any.

I meant to comment on the dizziness and forgot. Old age sucks...lol. If you've had heat or sun stroke, you may become much more sensitive to either (or both). Just be careful and stay cool.

I have done things like that, like all of a sudden notice my little niece has a beauty spot on her left cheek, to think I see her a lot and I thought I knew her face well so I can relate to you noticing your friend’s freckles. I have always suffered from allergic reactions on my skin from perfumes, for years I could only wear perfumed oils or put up with a nasty rash until my daughter sprayed some of her perfume on my wrist and...Nothing happened, so I sprayed the other arm and, again no reaction. I have since tried different perfumes without any problems whatsoever…Have I been ‘cured’? It’s weird because I used to be badly allergic...I wonder if the allergy will ever come back...

When I was a kid I can easily hold a cockroach, earthworm and other creepy creatures. But now I don't know why but its hard for me to even touch them. Its freaking me out. Things really changed. And sometimes it change so fast we don't even realize. I'll just say that its one of the mysteries of life.
