A pleasant day to all. Now a days, I noticed that mylot population is getting bigger. A lot of people invest their time participating in questioning and answering question. Since the population is getting bigger now, maybe, a lot of people might find it difficult to raise up a topic to discuss, thinking that the questions they have in mind was already taken up. And because of this, how do you formulate a question to discuss? Or how do you raised-up a topic for discussion in Mylot? Do you have any inspiration in doing these or seen a situation wherein you try to excerpt a topic?

Most of the times the discussions come out of the blue as I work on the computer.

Hi balasri: In my case the ideas comes to my mind but I take my time discussing with myself about how interesting this discussion is and if I could improve the question. Then I develop the idea, imagine how to make this discussion and finally I write it. For example, I have a good idea of a new discussion a week ago and I'm still planning how to write it because I want to make this discussion and I hope thsi will be a good discussion, it's about politics and I think it's a good question that hasn't been asked before. Thanks for your answer. Have a nice day. ALVARO

Maybe that is your hidden talent. You can come up an idea without thinking it thoroughly. In future, maybe, you can somehow explore that talent within you.

Hi aira sheila: I take this seriously because I think it's easy to start a new discussion but we want quality and not only quantity and this takes time. First of all, I only start a new discussion when I really feel interested on reading my friends opinions, second: I search just to be sure that this subject it's new or hasn't been discussed in the same terms I want to propose this discussion and finally I try to ask some good questions to open the debate. Thanks for starting this discussion. Have a nice day. ALVARO

Hi! You must know that some members, mostly active ones, are in mylot because they enjoy discussing personal experiences and help others in possible ways, so it doesn't necessarily have to be a question-and-answer form topic. A healthy discussion can come from a bad/good experience which other mylotters can relate to and so they feel that they can share their similar experience or maybe just try to contribute.

Choybel, I think you are right. As I observed, some of the good topics circulated are those which is truly captivates others experiences. Either its good or bad, still it connotes a healthy discussion. Your response is very well said.

hi I often try to use something in my own life that might have happened to a lot of other users there. we maybe from different countries' but we all have families and problems within that frame work.Sometimes I get an idea from others discussions and go with it. those are the ones that often get a lot of responses too. I often use something that' as happened to me very latley as it not apt to be anything another has done.

It is indeed difficult for me to think up a discussion. That is why I resigned myself to responding other members' discussion. There are lots of discussion that I could just jump in and some which I requested to be explained further. When I do start a discussion, I do a search first to see if the topic I have in mind has already been covered or not.

Very well said. I think you are doing the right thing. At least you are sure that the topic you want to go further is not yet posted.

My blockbuster hit was "Intimacy in Public" at 24 hits. Since then I had about three that did about 10 responses: "For those who go to movie theaters - Do you take your own trash out?" "Plagiarism in Web Articles" "Religion and Discrimination" And an honorable mention of 8 responses, "How long to select Best Response?" I confess I don't start many discussions. I'm more active responding, for I find it more rewarding and less frustrating. But for those I do start, most of the time I try to do one where my opinion differs from mainstream. The last one was out of frustration after responding to a post that the original poster designated the "Best Response" about an hour after he posted it. There are those who say one should keep the discussion going with the responders, but I never could do that. I stated my opinions/feelings in the original post, and if a responder points out something I missed or something I didn't communicate clearly, I would acknowledge that, but if it was just small talk and I can't add anything to the topic, I am at a loss for words. I hope I answered the question - I stayed up myLotting again and I should have went to bed at least four hours ago. But that's another topic

Hey aira!! You should have a very catchy topic. The problem with that is it might be catchy for you but not for some. Don't pressure yourself just enjoy what your doing and it will all follow. I wish you well.
