It has been confirmed that France has kicked their striker Nicolas Anelka out of their World Cup squad on Saturday after he launched a foul-mouthed tirade at coach Raymond Domenech at half-time of the 2-0 defeat to Mexico. Reports revealed that Nicolas Anelka, the prolific Chelsea forward seemed to have told his coach Domenech to "go screw yourself, dirty son of a w.h.o.r.e" in the dressing room at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane after the coach criticized his first-half performance in Thursday's match. Despite the demands from the president of the Fédération Française de Football (FFF), Jean-Pierre Escalettes that Anelka apologize in the presence of captain Patrice Evra, the errant striker adamantly refused. Gifted and prolific Anelka may be, but this player really has attitude issues. His spoilt child character is just as reputable to his skills. Though, Coach Domenech may have sided to closing both eyes to select him into the team - I think this is one pet that has turned around and bit the master's hand. I am just appalled that we have such an ingrate to bring the good team and game to disrepute. I am not going to be surprised that there will be further reprisal for this insensitive act and I am really for a harsh disciplinary action - one that may even cost his career. What do you think? i would second you ... There should be harsh punishment. what if one is talented and skilled, if he is not able to be ROLE=MODEL? .. It is the character that plays in our minds.. and which will be set as an example. I always ask my kids to see the sulking, but docile faces of those who lost the match.. walking solemnly to the winner, and shaking hands.. congratulating. after all...

consultrainer, In my opinion, ending his career is really ending everyone's misery and I simply do not have any consideration especially for what he had done in the matches so far! I am sure coaches around the world in their respective professional league would be aware of his misdemeanor, which is to me beyond any words but disgraceful. He is really going to set bad examples to the future of the game and as far as role model is concern, I just could not even be bothered because he ain't one to begin with or rather from the beginning!

not so easy. because, the rival coaches would be eager to guzzle him up, when he is not banned for life from the game. Like, Azahruddin .. of Indian cricket, He was such a soft and expert player, but, when it is found that he gambled and tricked and fixed matches, WE have banned him .. you cannot find him even in benefit matches. NOT even in the practice grounds... of HYDERABAD. (i LIVE here).... he chose to join politics though.!
