This happen a few days ago! A lone male cougar mauled a horse on a farm in Wisconsin. Twice the cougar killed twice before! A cow and a sheep! The horse will survive! The gelding has claw marks on the right sde of his body and a big bite mark on the right side of his neck! Next time the couger strikes on this farm, the farmer can kill the cougar with a gun! Other farmers will be allowed to do it! I feel sorry for the horse but don't kill the cougar because he found out it is easier to kill livestock! Please caputure it and relocate it! Cougars are endnagered and if one is shot more people will kill them for no reason! It might not happen but I fear it will! Wisconsin is not known to see cougars on a regular basis. More are being seen and the DNR thinks the cats are free roamimg males probaly from Minnisoata or from upper Wisconsin. Whatever the reason the cougars are appearing I stll think if they do harm to an animal, relocate. If they hurt a human then maybe killing is best. This the animal lover in me!

i think farmers in that area should have extra livestock for the cougars. or they could put a better fence. i think the cougars are losing their territory and exploring new hunting grounds. and if you think about it, its easier for them to catch a fenced animal than the wild ones. its more convenient. if they hurt humans i think that would be self defense. i dont think animals kill for fun like american people who hunt for game.

I am not quite sure how you feel about this. Are farmers to raise extra stock to keep this other animal alive?
