Snatchers riding motorcycles

Here in the Philippines snatchers riding motorcycles are very rampant. A couple of days back as I was watching the news, a ctv camera captured this 2 guys stopping and going down their motorcycle and suddenly snatching the man's necklace and when the man was like reaching for his pocket the snatcher shot him in his head. That's not all, before he left the man, he again snatched the mans watch or bracelet and then they walked back to their motorcycle as if nothing happened and left. Shocks!!! I feel sad for the victim. I hope the police will capture those 2 snatchers. Now, when I'm walking along the st. I feel really scared specially when I see a motorcycle approaching. I don't know if I will stop walking, turn back, walk fast, as if I don't know what to do. That video is like a trauma for me. :( I hope there will be no more victims from this snatchers riding motorcycles.

I have also watched that. That's really scary. So the best thing to do is don't show any expensive items you have in the public like jewelries, cellphones, money, etc. And if you got really unlucky and you've become a victim don't fight them. They are ready to kill and be killed. Your life is more important than any material things that you have.

You know, there are still alot of people walking the streets parading their cell phones. I hope they won't be a victim.

That's shocking news! I hope I will NOT be a victim. I hope the authorities will be serious about their anti-crime efforts.

Yup, your right. It's good that nowadays there's a ctv camera but they should also deligate somebody who will radio in the crime to a standby police who is stationed the ctv camera or else it will all just be a video of crimes.

Yes, its happening and it is such a sad news indeed. I do hope that the police will be able to solve this problem before it gets worst. We can do our share however to avoid becoming victims. We should avoid wearing expensive items in public places most especially along the roadside. Even using cellular phones along the road is not safe anymore.

Yes, motorcycle-riding criminals are everywhere. It seems like the motorcycle has become the favorite get-away vehicle of criminals, whether we are talking about killers-for-hire or simple snatchers, they are all using the motorcycle to get away from the crime. I wonder what authorities have to do in order to stop this. Is there perhaps a way that motorcycle owners could be traced if there is involvement in any crime?

I hope they will be strict in people acquiring a motorcycle because it is always used in a crime. Also, they should have a special registration for all the motorcycle owners, will all their info and pictures so that it is easy to point out which one did a crime.

This wouldn't have happen if the government would impose Iron Fists on these low-life scums that prowls innocent victims. I mean, if they would be caught, I don't really see the reason why they should be released especially when they just paid for their bail. These kind of people wouldn't learn unless they would have only one arm left. Cut their hands when caught on the spot, don't let that "humanitarian bull***t" make their speeches about some rights! They are just commissioning money from the funds that they are "establishing" and has done nothing to minimize these crimes. Cutting a snatchers hand wouldn't "kill" them, it would just disable them to prevent these scums from ever doing their activity again. So please, start chopping some hands!

These scums are just wants to earn money in a quick way, meaning these are lazy people who just wanted to devour other people's earning by threatening their life and sometimes would just kill them for the sake of money. I do hope that the law these days would be changed and stop abiding these "morality" issues because it just tolerates these scums. Bring back the medieval ages and I do hope that the law enforcer would start chopping hands!

I totally agree with you. I hate those snatchers and thieves! Why can't they work and earn decently instead of stealing and worst even killing innocent people. So, sad.

sorry to hear of this news, and of the victim.. it is always sad that innocents get hurt no matter what the circumstances., but this can not be good., unable to walk along your own streets without feeling intimidated and scared by thses events must be awful... There are certain areas of different cities in the UK where it not wise to walk alone, but these kind of things not so common here., It wouold be a good idea that motorcylces get registered so that the owners can be traced., but alas., for those who wish to persue these crimes as a life style there will always be ways around it.. Heart felt sympathies, and ask that you keep safe, and arrange to meet with a companion and walk together., also., keep your valuables out of sight... i never wear anything showy , and if some one wanted to take my mbile phone i think they would give it back., it is so old, Blessings xxx
