I purchased a 16GB pendrive from ebay, but now it has only 2GB

I purchased a 16GB pendrive from ebay for $10, it was a china seller.
i got the item but i am very dissapointed.
as soon as i got the item i pluged it to the computer and it showed 15.8GB.
so i give the seller positive feedback also.then i went to my friends house and copied some movies for 12GB.
but it shows only the icon and nothing more than 2GB can be stored on it.
it shows 12 gb but nothing can be stored which is more than 2GB.
Total space of only 2GB is available.
I was cheated, now i belive in only branded items, china sellers are fake.

Hi,
Did you try to format the pen drive? May be there are hidden files in it. A portion of memory may be damaged. In either case you will not be able to use the entire 16 Gb space. There are pendrives from certain manufacturers that may need a driver. Also check that out. Please send me a feedback if the problem persists. I am really sorry to know about the incident. Thanks

I formatted the pendrive three times, but still the problem exists.
it only shows 15.8GB, what kind of driver for usb?

only around 2GB ccan be used, if i copy more than that, it will show that its copied, and it shows the icon, but its actually a zerobyte icon.
when try to open it there will be nothing in it.

Even though you have left feedback, I think that you can still raise a complaint with Ebay and with PayPal. The only problem may be that the seller has already been banned and that their PayPal account is closed. Sometimes, in the end, it is not possible for PayPal to retrieve the funds and refund you but it is worth persevering. Read the documentation on refunds and complaints on both sites carefully, keep as much evidence and documentation as you can to support your case and ... good luck!

ya i have made somthing wrong by purchasing the china pendrive.
i lost my money.
but you pointed that even though i have given feed back,i can still rise complaint so its a happy news for me.

This is so frustrating I can understand this. However this is possible that your computer did not recognized the pen drive it happens also so you have to search on line for the program which can repair it for you though, it is possible that it is 16 GB only but you need to repair it on line first to get the 16 GB.

no its not the problem with my computer.
all other pendrives are working properly in my pc.
this the problem of pendrive, which only shows 15.8GB but cant store more than 2GB.

Sad to learn about your experience. It is nice of you that you shared it so that others can be careful while buying from online sites.
It is always better to buy branded goods and i prefer from non-virtual store as that provides opportunity to see, feel test the item before buying.

Oh that's too bad for you. I guess next time for any other gadgets or computer accessories it would always be better to buy in your own place. In that case, you can make use of warranties. Or better off next time do not buy from Chinese sellers. It was such a waste of money for you I'm sure. Just raise a complaint still in Ebay even though you had already given a positive feedback to the seller. How i wish people would stop taking advantages of others online.

if you pay that using paypal then you can file a report or complaint from them asking for a refund instead. you can also give a negative feedback to the seller and file complaint to ebay too for them to stop it. i used to order a digi battery from china using paypal and it took them more than a month yet there still no item, i email them many times but theres no reply so what i did i file a complaint via paypal asking for a refund and also give them a negative feedback and just for a day they give me a refund and they also request for a revision of feedback. dont let them trick you if you can do something to stop them. they need to give refund or paypal will temporary hold their account not letting them make any transaction until you the person who file the complaint closed it.

Ohhh i'm sorry about that swamy.I had plans to buy Seagate external hard disk of one tera byte capacity from Amazon but backed off----i dont have to wait until arrives.so i prefered to buy it in my city as i fear there can be some problems of this kind if i go for some online stores.there have been cases when people were delivered the specific goods they bought online but i dont have to any chances with them.One of my friends bought 32 GB Chinese pen drive from a sales man and guess what is worked only for two hours.i never go for chinese products they're quiet cheap but aren't worth a penny.great day.

Sorry to hear that, but this is the downside of ebay. You never know what actual you will get from the seller.
I suggest that you need to buy from recognize seller from ebay, just check the reference from ebay, usually you will not have any problem if u buy from the approved seller.
