latex allergy

hey everyone. I never thought that latex allergy is for real. until it happened to me 2 weeks ago and until now the itchiness, redness and rashes are still bugging me off. I tried applying cortisone but it has no effect after the medication stays for a couple of minutes the itch start again. Plus the water here in our place is hot it aggravates the itchyness.. The worst part of these all is I am a nurse and I can't help it. I have to wear gloves either I like it or not. And it's really uncomfortable especially if the itch starts.. geez.. Any home remedy?
