As per my opinion there are three technologies, considered to be dangerous. One is Genetic Engineering, second is Robotics and Third is Nano technology. All people are very well know about advantages and disadvantages of Genetic Engineering and Human cloning.A number of companies and universities are working on robotics technology that designed to either save lives of make it easier. But some robots when not programmed properly loose the control on their functions and put human's life in danger.Nano technology offers a great potential benefits to humankind and also brings sever dangers. The risk of toxicity of nano particles and risk in molecular manufacturing is considered to be a great danger. What do you think.

I think only the first in your list can be dangerous. Genetic engineering have been used on genetic weapons. If these man-made super viruses or bacteria were unleashed by accident, it will cause a big catastrophe because they can grow themselves. I think it take at least 50 years to make artificial intelligence have their own personality, and humans will not be foolish enough to let them develop themselves and finally become a danger of us. Danger of nano particles is similar to super viruses & bacteria, but they can't grow themselves, so the disaster can be controlled, and less harmful than genetic disasters.

I too think that genetic engineering and Nano technology are dangerous. But I think there a more dangerous technology they haven't perfected yet. It's called the invisible shield. I'm afraid that if they do perfect it, then groups like organized crime can use it to knock off their enemies or any poor sap who happens to be in the wrong place at the wrong time and thus, is an unwilling witness. Yes, it's always possible for these things to get into the wrong hands. And our government has a way of sometimes making the bad guys (such as organized crime) into temporary friends.

Well on those that you mention are not yet that threatening since they are not that develop yet. For me the most dangerous technology of the 21st century is the internet. Almost everybody in the world is accessing it. More people will soon rely in this network, until sometime that the internet will be so important, that when it fails it will cause a lot of trouble.
