My definition of a smart phone would be to say that a smart phone is a phone in which it can run different types of applications, connect wirelessly to the internet, and make it easier to send and receive emails from it. It can also include the newest touch screen capabilities, but not all smart phones have this feature, so I would say smart phone = internet on the move (ease of access).

According to my opinion, a smart phone has data plan to access internet, and it has tons of features to play music, record voice, and taking nice pictures. Also, it simply work like a computer, and it is in a miniature version of a PC, that is all.

In simple words,a smartphone is a
device that lets you perform basic functions
, but also adds in
features that you might find on
a personal digital assistant or a
computer--such as the ability to
send and receive e-mail and edit
Office documents.
Mostly a
smartphone is based on an
operating system that allows it
to run productivity applications. It allows you to
create and edit Microsoft Office
documents--or at least view the
files. It may allow you to
download applications, such as
personal and business finance
managers. Or it may allow you to
edit photos, get driving
directions via GPS, and create a
playlist of digital tunes.Smartphones
can access the Web at higher
speeds, thanks to the growth of
3G data networks and the
addition of Wi-Fi support to
many handsets. Further
a smartphone
includes a QWERTY keyboard.
This means that the keys are laid
out in the same manner they
would be on your computer
keyboard.

I agree with the other user about smart phones. To me, they just have lots more features than your regular phone, plus, like the other user said, you can download apps for it. A plain phone, or ones that aren't a samr phone, you can't do that with them. I have a smart phone, and it is one of teh best phones I have ever had, and I am glad that I bought it. I have only had it a few months, and Imust say, I can do a lot with it, much more than any other phone I have had. I am able top post in here on my ceoll phone, however, I only do that when I don't have access to my laptop. It really does a good job of posting to mylot too, even though it takes awhile because the screen is so small. I have just posted a few responses on it and one discussion that I know of, but other than that, I haven't been posting from my phone. Take care, and happy mylotting.

Though I'm not exactly sure what the real definition of a smart phone is, I can tell you what I think is the definition for a smart phone. I believe that a smart phone is a phone that is way outside the ordinary box that we've been accustomed to having phones in. This means that a smart phone is able to have applications that enable you to do things with them that are very similar to a computer. Additionally, a smart phone is also able to readily connect to the internet.
