There is a store across the street where I live. It mainly sells hardwood floor; carpet; and rug. Everyday I pass there, I don't see cars in its parking lot, and I rarely see any patronage. For 2 years already, this store still operating, even though there was sign of 50% off on carpet; or 80% on something else. I was curious how does it survive like that?

Probably that particular owner of the shop has may other businesses where he is making a huge profit.. And this fact probably compensating the whole thing. He may also be a supplier of any particular products and transactions are done in other way...
Apart from it,discount is a another thing,it is given so as to attract the attention of the buyers..A businessman still makes a huge profit after providing the discounts on the products.. The prices are generally set in such a way.

This is a mystery...how does any store survive without customers? Maybe all the customers come at some other time. It's also possible this store delivers its materials so customers don't always have to come to it.
