Type pad for blogs?

Is type bad really good for blogs? I am thinking about going with their unlimited so I can get some blogs going, it says its easy to add in your advertisers, so I am wondering if anyone else has used type pad. I don't care for using the free blog sites, because some are tricky when putting up ads, and I also noticed that many advertisers wont allow a free blogger site.
