The first thing I do is I go over my notebook when I try to prepare for a test. Usually I just read over my notes over and over again until I memorize it. Then I try to find other sources to study for like searching to see if the professor have posted notes online or if there is study questions in the textbook. Studying for tests is very hard but it could be a rewarding experience. Happy mylotting.

When I was in middle school, I always spent several days to get prepaired for one course. I would recited all the notes the teachers given in class. So I usually got the first prize in the examination. But in high shcool, my health was poor and I went to hospital a lot. I needed a lot of time to rest at that time. So I usually spent one or two days to recite all the things that needed. As I practised more, my short memory became better. When I in college, I usually spent a couple of hours to recite all the important things in a thick book and I always did a good job. My classmates were amazed but I knew they could do that too. They just did not have enough faith in their own competence.

I pretty much study as the class goes. I read the assigned readings and take notes on that. I listen to what the teacher says, and then take some notes about that. I find that as I take notes, I am actually preparing for the test better than I would have, had I studied in more conventional matters. I think that this way works better for me, because years, I studied with my nose to the book in the days leading up to the test and I blanked constantly. So, now, I am able to really get results by using this method. It is not for everyone but this is what works rather well for me. Plus, if I do need to look over something, my notes are right there as a refresher. It also really depends on how much material each test covers. I adjust my studying accordingly and preparation varies as well. Some tests are over a single chapter, some many chapters, so it is really one of those things that I have to be adaptable.

I listen to music while reviewing or studying my lessons. If I am seriously reviewing, I listen to classical songs. It helps me boost my concentration. Else if I am not that serious in reviewing, I listen to Pop songs, especially Lady Gaga's song and I'll dance while reviewing to boost my nerve cells and wake up my sleeping brain :D

If it's a sort of Math I do exams from past years, via the internet. If it's a subject like History I read everything I have in my notebook and make summaries of it, and then read the summaries the next day/before the test.
