Well in the beginning of that movie it says that the American president will suffer an tentative of assassination on his life while visiting Turkey. This tentative will be made with a provoked earthquake from a satellite. Sounds science-fiction, but this technology already exists and it is used by Americans in Alaska to determine whether the oil bags worth being exploited or not, triggering artificial earthquakes at different depths. I know this idea of the devastating Haiti quake was first launched by Hugo Chavez, but unfortunately he's not mentally normal, so it can't be trusted.
