Why are there so many disasters this year?

All of the countries on the earth develop so rapidly.Until now,the earth happened so many disasters.Such as BP oil company disclosure oil in the gulf of Mexico,it made so many animals died.The big earthquake in Haiti caused 300000 persons died.The airplane of Poland destroyed and all the people on the plane died.And so on disasters happened this year.
What is the reason?

Yes there have been numerous natural disasters this year. Many earthquakes happening around the world Tornados and flash floods. Many people have lost their lives. Maybe we will be dealing with this till 2012 and maybe just maybe its all leading up to the world ending in 12/2012. I'm nervous about the hurricanes that have yet to come in and around Florida with my parents living there. I just hope and pray there are very few and little damage.

Hello lelin,
it's all natural disasters, part of earth's nature. but that added also to man made disasters. people die when ever there's disaster and we only have to be prepared for it or aviod such when ever possible. i believe the world won't end unless we take care of nature. these green house gasses are causing the ice to melt making a long version of water uprising and horrible floods.

I don't know the reason. All I know is that things like this happen all the times. Sometimes they involve no people at all and sometimes there are the unfortunates. It is just there are more big events involving more kills this year that we feel the increased number of disasters.

In my opinion, it is because of 2 factors. first, it is because of geographical & climate change, that's why there are lot of disasters such as earthquake & eruption and etc. Of course, it damage badly and spontaneous. many people lose their lives, families, material and wealth. This factor cannot be avoided. So, it is the best for us anticipate it. Not anticipate in making it would not happened. But, by reducing the damages. At least, no victim or less victim. The second factor is human greed. This is not tolerable such as the exploitation of natural resources, the use of chemical substance which is not friendly to environment, the abuse of technology and etc. It is human caused disaster to human and it will not happened if we are not too greedy and blinded by our own ego, ambition and of course, MONEY..
