Frustration about wireless internet connection

Last year, I bought a pay as you go USB dongle from T Mobile and worked so fast on my PC, I had to get used to the marvels of having Internet connection at the touch of a mouse! Now however, I can't express just how frustrated I feel at how slow it seems to spin the connection to the web dial, you may as well be sitting and waiting for your laundry to rinse the amount of times an error message appears telling you that you might need to refresh the page! - You do everything within your powers, even looking for technical hardware issues on your computer or set it to an earlier date to undo any changes that may have occurred. Perhaps these devices outgrow their own capabilities and explains why they malfunction from time to time? The problem started just recently, two months ago and assumed that it must be to do with the signal, so moved my PC to another location in the room yet made no difference: I simply couldn't connect to the Internet. I'm not a computer expert, but am clued up about how to set the PC system tools so that nothing prevents your device from being rejected or experiencing slow connection speeds etc. I empty my web history daily, clear used disc space as well as ensure that my antivirus isn't playing games with the USB and yet, the problem is recurring regardless of what I do. I came to the conclusion that it must be the device as when it does work, it works perfectly fine, so eliminates any PC issues. Today it is doing pretty great, but there are days it just becomes idle, I have to uninstall and reinstall it and again, it just doesn't want to do anything! Anyone else have the same problem?

I'm having a similar problem I believe. I have a USB adapter for my PC and the signal one minute is good, then very low, and I haven't moved it an inch. I rearranged my computer several times trying to move closer to the "signal" and it works for a while. Then I have to unplug my adapter and re-insert cause it heats up. I don't know what I'm going to do. Now I'm not really complaining here cause I'd rther these problems than no internet at all. So let me bite my tongue.

I'm so glad i'm not alone here! I had even bought a separate Ariel adapter that is easy to clip on and cost me an extra £26 from an online store, but that makes little difference, they should really come free. Paying for a service means that you should be getting it, so am thinking of going into the store where I bought it and demanding that they replace it for free when I've only had it less than a year. I feel like a right idiot every-time I move my PC!

You are not alone at all. I think I found a spot my computer is comfortable with. I get more "good" signals then before. But don't let me try and watch a movie on line. Cause that will knock my signal down. And I don't know what that's all about.

shikiraclare, Out of interest, have you called your ISP's technical support and checked with them yet? The problem here may not be coming from your location or hardware and I think T-mobile should be the best people to consult regarding the lag. You may also want to check if you had downloaded or installed any software lately which might have caused this connection problem. These programs may have corrupted your network setup files or settings. I hope the above will give you a better idea as you go about trying to resolve your problems. Take care.

Here in my country it's a lot more terrible. There still isn't any decent wireless USB Internet. I subscribed to one a few months ago only to unsubscribe again after using it for only a few weeks. It was so frustrating! I hope we'll get a decent wireless Internet here soon as It's so much more convenient to use (that is, if it would work properly).
