Burns

I was making some schnitzels for lunch the other day, and big splash of hot oil jump off the pan and on my left foot. It was so painful for about one second, and then I didn't feel a thing where it hit me. I quickly put my leg in the sink, and that's when the pain came back. I now have a red mark that hurts when touches, and is in the shape of the splash. There are also blisters growing on it. So have you ever been skin burned? How was it, and how did you deal with it?

i put toothpaste to ease the pain... but i noticed that it turned red or there was an obvious mark on it... now, i use emu oil when i get s splash of hot oil from frying or when i get small burns.. my sister in law, got a small burn in her hand from cooking/frying, she wouldnt wet her hands with water as she said it will hurt more and will cause blister... she immediately put toothpaste.. that was how i know that washing a burn with water is not a good idea.. i remembered i have emu oil in my bag, i let her put some in the burn and she said that it didnt hurt anymore..

I'll remember to not wash my burn next time, and I've heard of using toothpaste, but I guess I forgot. I rubbed some Aloe vera on it, and right now I'm using Traumeel on the blisters. Thanks for the reply, and the suggestions from you own experience.

Hi, lilBro. I have burned myself many times. But never so badly though. Hot grease from the hot oil in the frying pan has splashed onto my skin. It burned just a little bit. It was not life threatening at all. I hope that this burn on your leg heals up quickly.
