....almost every culture uses minced(or ground) meat as the main ingredient in many traditional dishes. A lot of people watching their weight think that it is too fatty, but it doesn't need to be eliminated from your menu if you are following a healthy eating plan.
Minced meat is graded by the amount of fat it contains – generally the lower the fat content the higher the price – but you do need less of it a there is less fat to run off!!
Mince with a fat content of 10% or less is considered fairly low in fat: 3% is the best low-fat mince.
Then of course you can opt for minced chicken or turkey for the lowest fat mince.
I use minced beef, pork, lamb, chicken and poultry to make many dishes, here are just a few of them:
SWEET & SOUR MEAT BALLS
SPAG BOL
LASAGNA
MINCED MEAT AND SPLIT PEA CURRY
YUVARELAKIA (Greek meatballs simmered in stock)
CURRIED MINCED MEAT WITH POTATOES
SHEPHERD'S PIE
COTTAGE PIE
MINCED PORK OMELETTE
STUFFED CABBAGE ROLLS
HOT THAI STIR FRIED CHICKEN
PASTITSIO
CHILI MAC
DIRTY RICE
TEXAS TRAIL BEEF MACARONI
MOUSSAKA
EGYPTIAN KOFTA WITH APRICOT SAUCE
SANIYIT KUFTA (BAKED MEAT LOAF)
PRIK YAT SAI (THAI STUFFED & STEAMED PEPPERS)
What recipes do you use moinced or ground meat for?

My favorite is Miced meat cooked with peas and potatoes and it is my hubby's favorite also. I also make kebab's at home with minced meat and they are really quite easy to make and delicious to eat.

We use a lot of mince as my son will only eat sausages or mince. I make hamburgers , tacos, rissoles , meatloaf , meatballs. I do like the sound of some of your recipes and I do miss my dad's cabbage rolls. Maybe I will try and be a bit more adventurous and try a few more recipes with mince.

I love minced mean and I use it for a lot of stuff, mostly for meatballs of different kinds, lasagna, spaghetti bolognese, moussaka and similar dishes. I think it is an ingredient that is wonderfully versatile, and it would really annoy me if I could not use it any more for some reason...
