Ever Get Stuck on a Crafting Project?

I am making a wedding sampler for my cousin for her wedding (which was last Saturday--oops.) and it was coming along at a nice little clip then I seem to get stuck on it, I don't seem to want to finish it and I use every excuse not to do it even though I am on vacation and have plenty of time to finish it. Has this ever happened to you and how did you get over your crafting slump?

First, I hate samplers, I would never do one. Having said that, I have bought some samplers because there is something on it I want. For example, I have bought a Unicorn sampler because I love the unicorn, I loved it so much, I've done it twice! I almost NEVER do anything twice. I'm also careful to not pick too large a project, because I don't have the "attention span" to do large ones.

I hear that. I usually do bookmarks and the like which keeps me from getting too bored. I would really like to do some bigger things because I need something to hang on my walls at home and at work and I would like it to be some of my own handiwork.

Well, I have artwork on the walls, most are original pieces too, or hand colored prints. I do have one of the unicorns on the wall, but I wore it on a shirt for years before retiring the shirt and taking the unicorn off.

I guess we all do a bit. Its nice to take a break and work on something else. I hope to get this project done soon, though.

I have been having a slump for about a month now. I am starting to wonder if I am feeling slightly depressed. I have a degree and cannot find work. I sleep all day long and cannot find the energy to do anything. I have been trying to get into doing some Christmas crafts so I can start selling online. It has been hard on me. My husband is only working parttime and his paychecks are getting smaller and smaller and it is driving me crazy. I am hoping that I can get back into this soon.

I do quite often. It is hard to get back on track with these items. Sometimes if i only take a day or two that helps. If i take a longer time off i don't get back to them for months. Try it Monday, that should help.

Yes, i'm facing tha right now. I can crochet almost anything, and yet I can't figure out an oval rug! I am getting so annoyed. I need row-by-row instructions. I can't figure out where to do the increases myself (must be a mental block) I know I need to finish it, but I'm just stuck. I throw it aside and start on something else.
