Eating Less, Staying Young!

One of the factor that was thought to contribute aging is the presence of free radicals or oxidants in cells. Free radicals causes cell death or apoptosis (cells committing suicide if the damages is beyond repair). When cells commit apoptosis, it is when wrinkles start to appear in your skin or your face. It means that you are having wrinkles because your cells on that part of your body is no longer reproducing/replacing or having cell division to replace the old skin. Free radicals on the other hand, were known to be by-products of metabolism. Meaning, the food we eat is broken down to smaller units to become useful in our bodies but the chemical reaction involving this breaking down of food also leaves by-products (oxidants, free radicals). Therefore, the more we eat food, more by-products is formed and then consequently contributes to the aging process of our body. If we eat just enough, we can reduce build up of free radicals and prolong the lifespan of our cells - and to look younger than our peers. SO EAT LESS AND STAY YOUNGER LOOKING.

Yes, I have always believed the less you eat the better for you. I'm a person who eats to survive not one who lives to eat. So no one would believe my age they always take me for alot younger. When they find out I have a 29 and 32 year old daughters their mouths drop. I eat three meals a day but healthy foods, no red meat at least 3 veggies and 3 fruits a day and plenty of green tea.

Wow! that is totally true. Green tea are excellent antioxidants. I just remember when i had mistaken a classmate in graduate school to be just my age and then i found out that she was 8 years ahead of me. she also loves tea and fruits... the only problem i have is that i cannot control myself during parties... i ate a lot of meat. but i do have very good genes of looking younger. My granpa was 50 when she married my grandma at 18. Granpa looks just 30 at his 50's and also very hardwoking/industrious so my grandma fell inlove with her. well, that's another story but i thank both of them for the healthy genes.
