In all hotels and restaurants you find only male cooks, so cooking comes to men naturally. Our society is being built such a way that women cook at home and men don't. Today everything is changed, men and women have equal sharing in cooking. My hub makes excellent upma (spicy samolina). He can make good rotis, flattened Whole wheat bread.both should shoulder this responsibility.

It doesnt matter who cooks in the family. My husband and I have been married for 15 months already and sometimes he cooks but most of the time I cook. I think its common nowadays that husband and wife help each other with household chores. Its primeval if the wife is going to cook all the time and doing all the house work.

My husband and I take turns cooking. If he is in the mood to cook he will, if I am in the mood I cook. Sometimes one of us will start cooking the meal then the other one finishes. I know growing up both my parents cooked and they taught all three of us (my sister, my brother and I) how to cook. My sister has three sons and when they are a little bit older they will learn how to cook as well as her daughter. When I have children I will be teaching my sons and my daughters how to cook. I feel that cooking is a very important skill to learn.

Both could cook and both could share everything. They could divide the work in between them but in India mostly women cook and men pride of themselves as just working and not for cooking..
