Which is more famous - Friendster or Facebook?

Before, a lot of my friends use Friendster but when Facebook comes, what they did, they try to transfer some of their photos from Friendster to Facebook. Since they believe that Facebook is more popular rather than Friendster.
And now, they love to use Facebook rather than Friendster.
How about you, do you still use Friendster or you also believe that Facebook is more popular now a days.

I've never used Friendstar, is it a dating site? I use Facebook because it lets me keep in contact with friends and family easier. I know the privacy settings are a joke so I try not to play any games or do silly quizes. I do maintain some privacy about who I am and what I'm doing.

My answer to this disscussion would have to be Facebook. I have never heard of Friendster until now. What is the difference between the two? Please clue me in.

For me, Friendster and Facebook are almost the same. They are both social networking site that connects friends and relatives.

a better interface really interested me in facebook. Well i used to have a friendster account for the reason of just having one.

Facebook is what's in right now and it has overtaken friendster as well as myspace in terms of the number of users. I used to like friendster but facebook is much better. I did transfer most of my pictures from friendster to facebook. Although I did not cancel my friendster account, I hardly use it now.

I think it's based on the user. some people just tend to use both because they just want to. or they just want to stay connected to those friends who... some doesn't use FB but use Friendster and vise versa. I think both have their own descriptions and features.

Your view is well accepted. Maybe in some places, Friendster is not that popular and the reason why some knows nothing about it.

I'll go with facebook. I never really got interested in using friendster even during it's peek but I have an account there. Facebook has lots of fun applications and has a chatbox which makes it better than friendster. But if you're the type who likes customizing your profile page a lot, i think you'll go with friendster.

I used Friendster before but now I rarely logged on to it. I prefer facebook more. I think its more popular than Friendster. And when you look at Friendster's layout today its just like a rip off of Facebook's own layout.

i believe friendster is only famous to asian... most especially to Filipinos... but facebook is known worldwide..
so obviously facebook is more famous... and a lot of friendster members are already migrating to facebook.. i am one of them... lol

i agree juicekodai friendster is a lot popular to us filipinos i my self like friendster, but when i try to use facebook i found it a lot better because of its functions like chatting, play games add photos and video and you can share it easily and send messages and it's a lot more easier to add friends just type their complete name unlike friendster you have to put email address cos we used codename.

I have accounts on both sites. But I hardly check my Friendster account anymore. Why? I find Facebook more user friendly. And their interface is way better than that of Friendster. Facebook also offers more applications and Friendster hardly had any (based when I last checked it out). But I still check my Friendster account when I'm notified through my personal email about a new message from friends.

I've heard of Friendster but I never really used it. I have both myspace and Facebook accounts but I spend most of my time with Facebook. It's much easier to keep in touch with all your loved ones around the world. If you like graphics and designs then use myspace but if you just want to talk with friends and keep in touch with loved ones then definitely use Facebook.

if we compare those two now we can say that facebook is more popular but friendster had been popular before and we can't say that facebook is more popular because it has more members than friendster..time and technology contributes much..

i can say that Friendster was so popular, especially in the Philippines, for years. but when Facebook becomes so popular with the local celebrities, even common people, students, housewife migrated to Facebook. someone even told me, there's no one now in Friendster.

Before, Im so addicted using friendster.
I have to admit, id love my profile because it's customized by me.:) But, when my friend told me about this cool site, and insisted me to sign up, I was like "it's really cool!
" and now im loving it.:)) ive been a member of Facebook for 3years already.:) And im proud im one of them.

Friendster? What is that? I've heard of MySpace, Facebook, hi5, etc., but not Friendster.

Today, the famous is facebook simply because of its many applications. It also serves as an online diary for all the users. One can easily find people whom they have known with, since the early ages of their life. Friendster was popular way back but now facebook overshadowed them. They change a lot of their settings and they add some applications but facebook always are one step ahead of them.

I've never used Friendster. I think Facebook is the most popular social networking site now. A few years ago, my kids used Bebo and MySpace but now it's always Facebook.
