what is the meaninig of the colors in the flag of your country, do you know that. Let us know and post the flag too. Let's try to see them all here. It will be ok if you post your flags several times. Is your explanation about meaning the same as your friends' ? The blue field stands for common unity and the noble aspirations of the Filipino people. The white triangle with equal sides of the flag is symbolic of equality among men. The white field stands for purity. The sun represents the gigantic strides that have been made by the Sons of the land on the road to progress and civilization. The eight rays of the sun in the triangle represent the first eight united provinces that revolted for independence - Batangas, Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, Manila, Nueva Ecija, Pampanga and Tarlac. The three stars in the triangle stand for the three major geographical divisions of the country - Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. The red field symbolises the willingness of the Filipino people to shed blood in defence of their country. This flag is unique in that in peacetime, the blue stripe is uppermost but during wartime, the red stripe is on top.

National Flag of China - Five starred red flag is the emblem of China.

Long live China!
National flag of China: The Five Starred Red Flag The big star in the middle represents Communist Party of China, the four small stars represent workers, farmers, bourgeois and national bourgeois, respectively, totally, they can represent Chinese people. The meaning of the five star is Chinese people are united under the Party's leadship, and fight for the powerful and prosperous of the country. The backcolor is red, which represents revolution and the blood of martyrs sacrificed to the establishing of China.

I am also your kababayan and thank you for reminding me what's the entire meaning of our flag, though I still remember some information but yours is more detailed. After high school I haven't attended any flag raising ceremony, I missed those times when I've got the chance to raise during the ceremony. I am a filipino and I'm proud to be one.
