Is P.Chidambaram an efficient finance minister?

Hi! What is your opinion about our (indian) finance minister? Is he efficient? In my opinion he is brilliant sometimes but he may be too fast in reforms sometimes? I have a concern. He didnot take considerable efforts and steps to contain the inflation of essential food materials like wheat,pulses and cereals. sometimes too much reforms may hurt the economy. Some people complain that his son is involved in speculating Indian stock markets and was responsible for the crash in may. To what extent it is true?
