How many more states are the feds going to sue?

It is being reported that 18 states are in the process of passing laws similar to Arizona's laws. So is Obama going to sue them too? The states are sick of the federal government NOT enforcing our immigration laws. They are tired of waiting around so they are dealing with it on their own. Most of the citizens of this country don't want immigration reform...we just want our existing laws actually enforced. Do you see Obama sueing all those states...or once it really starts gaining tractions will he back off? Tell me what you think.

He is in a no win situation. the american public does not support amnesty. We want our border secured. The violence spilling over into this country is getting too bad. The economy sucks. So he will loose votes if he forces immigration down our throats. But the lobbyist groups and the hispanic community is putting extreme preasure on him to force it through...if he doesn't THEY won't support him in the next election. I guess at the end of the day it depends on how he wants to be seen...as doing the will of the legal citizens of this country....or bowing to lobbyists and illegal immigrants.

But with him having the nerve to sue Arizona I think he will lose in the end. The United States is more important than his ego.

I think he'll continue. His ego won't let him back down, and the more states that adopt it, the more he can play the "Republicans are racist" card to try to secure the Hispanic vote (the fastest increasing demographic in the country).

How is it racist to enforce our laws and prosecute criminals? I have yet to figure that one out yet.

One of my best friends is a Cuban American and I asked him what he thought about the bill and why. He said it was racist because "it gives the cops reason to stop someone based on how they look." When I told him the law specifically prohibits that, he said "Ya, but you know that's what they're going to do." I called him cynical and he called me naive, and we left the discussion alone. :) I've yet to hear a factual, rational argument against the law.
