6 Ways to Speed Up Firefox

These are 6 tricks to help you speed up your Firefox: 1. Enable coummicating preville: Open the Firefox and type about:config on the address bar, Firefox will show you a warning "be careful", click on “I’ll be careful, I promise” to continue. You will see a list of filter. Find and double clink on network.http.pipelining and network.http.proxy.pipelining to change their value into "True". Then doulbe on etwork.http.pipelining.maxrequests and change the value into “8”. Some time you meet some severs that don’t allow you to load the page if they received more than 1 reques. Just change these value into “false” again to fix this problem. 2. Quick response Usually, a large website that have a lot of data and complex structure will need more time to load. To support impatient users, Firefox has a mode to show what it has received in every 0.12 seconds, but this mode make the total loading time increase. To fix this problem, do follow: Go to about:config, then click right mouse on inside the windows(use ctrl + click if you use Mac) and choose New Integer, type content.notify.interval and then click OK, when yous see a box, type 500000 and click OK. Click the right mouse again and choose New Boolean, then type content.notify.ontimer and choose “true”. 3. Page load faster Go to about:config, click the right mouse and choose New Integer then type content.switch.threshold OK and add the value 250000, then OK again to finish the process. 4. No interruption Go to about:config, click the right mouse and choose New Boolean, then type content.interrupt.parsing OK, set the value is “false” and OK again to finish. 5. Block the Flash Flash is a part of almost websites. It is the advertising tool or it help a website look more beautiful, but it will slow down Firefox. There is a simple solution to fix this trouble: Use Flashblock. But some time you would like to watch some flash, just click on the soft and download the flash to view. 6. Increased memory buffer If your PC have big RAM memory (over 2GB), you can use this trick: Go to about:config, click the right mouse and choose New Integer then type browser.cache.memory.capacity OK then set the value at 65536 OK. Restart Firefox to nad see what the real Firefox can do!

Very useful ! What you can try also is by removing the 20% bandwidth reserve that Windows reserve for updates and other stuffs that's not really necessary . By reserving that , you're slowing down your network by 20% , so what i suggest is to remove the reserve , since it's not going to be used frequently .

I have used this trick, it does increase the loading speed but i am afraid it might be harmful to the processor coz it if open the task manager, it runs a bit higher and is using too much RAM. It does work if you asked me.

We can do it with Firefox because Firefox is an open source solfware. It's mean that you can write a new version for Firefox or you can create a new application for Firefox and publish it for free. I E , I don't think so.

Hello hoangvietanam, thank you. This is very informative. Well my mozilla is already fast so now i dont need it maybe when it becomes slower. P.S Did you really write all this ? Because for a new person in myLot it looks to long.
