Hi. jahernandezrivas. I think that you should go by the way that the cantaloupe looks. If it looks normal into its color, then it may be ripe enough. Also if the insides of this fruit smells fresh and not sourly rotten, then the cantaloupe is ripe enough to eat.

farmers and scientist use some kind of ultrasound to detect if its ripe. But for the rest of the population, i think a best way is to look for that sound while snapping your fingers into it.
