If you have a chance to know your future, would you want to?

Let's say that there is a device or you could have a vision of future whether it is good or bad , would you want to? Most people would say if they would want to know their future if it is a good one. But what if it is bad? I personally would want it either way. At least if it is bad, I could start doing things to prevent it. If it is good I think I would do start doing to make that happen. What are your thoughts?

That is quite an idea but if I were in your situation, I don't think I would want to know if I would end up with my current partner. If I found out that my current partner would be the one Ill be with it in the future, what then? Would I stick with the relationship or find the one I am suppose to end up with? Thanks for your response

Honestly YES! I really want to know my future. But it does not mean that I have to rely on it because I also have to enjoy my moment right now. It will be depending on the matter of what kind of situation that I want to know in future. For example how will I die, of course at least I will do something to be ready like if that is because of the disease then I will be more conscious to my health. If that is about being successful in career then I will be remaining responsible to do my task and willing to face the challenge so that I will accomplish the things that I want.

I do agree with you on that.Like you if I found out that I will get a disease in the future then I will be more focus on my health. I found out that I will be rich in the future, I have to start doing something about it right away. Nothing will happen if I don't do anything and just expect to be rich overnight. Thanks for your insight

We always want to envision ourselves as successful in all angles. But in reality sometimes it doesn't come true. I would rather do things right before I expect something.

Great point there. If did know that something good is about to happen to me, then I might do nothing at all and just let things happen. I guess the journey is more fun than reaching the destination. Thanks for the response

I guess your right about that. I also do like surprises. But I think it's like watching a movie a friend of yours watch before you did. He might have told you the ending of the film but you would still want to watch the whole movie to see what the movie is all about. Did I make any sense? Thanks for the response

No, I don't think that would be very good for me (or for anyone else either, for that matter), since I think it is important to live for the moment you are in, and if you know exactly what is going to happen in the future it is hard to do that. I also think it is hard to motivate yourself if you know something bad is going to happen, for instance, so I would prefer not to know. I am sure most people would take the chance if they could do that though!

That is the bad side of knowing the future. It would really be hard to be happy if you know that something bad is going to happen in the future. Thanks for the response
