Debit card used in Paypal in the philippines?

I know I need paypal to get paid here and in other sites. I dont have paypal yet because I'm not really sure how to set it up. I dont want to tie it up to my creditcard because there might be some complications, si I wanna use a debit card.
Do you guys use debit cards too for your paypal? If yes what kind of debit card would you recommend?

im new in paypal too... and to verify my account im using my BDO mastercard debit card...

im not sure how much.. its our salary.. but its just 100php for maintenance.. i guess you can open an account for 1000php.. i still need to verify...

Using a credit card for paypal account is safe. I had used one in my paypal account and it did not give me any trouble at all. However, my husband has been using that paypal account so I reapplied for one.
I am using debit card now. I applied for one in Union bank.You only need to pay P350 for the membership fee, and that's for the whole year. No need to deposit any amount for balance maintenance. But, of course you need to at least put money on it right now because paypal will be charging you of at least P200.But, it will be again recredited to your EON account once you verified your paypal account.

Thanks for the information, I might try to open an account in Unionbank. I used Chinatrust and BDO cashcard,,,

BDO cashcards can be used as debit cards, too? i think the only acceptable debitcard is from Unionbank since it is visa debit card..

You better use an EON debit card.
I used my credit card to verify my Paypal account but I use my other bank account to withdraw my money.
It has been more than two years since I verified my paypal account and so far I have not encountered any problem. I don't even expect other problems to come.

hi there! yes, you have to make a paypal account. and you need a debit card to transfer your money from paypal account to your debit card to make use of your money. to apply for a debit card you need to go to any unionbank available near your area. and when you get your Eon Card you can tag it to your paypal account. ~ happy mylotting!

I think EON card from the Union Bank it the best way to avoid some transaction complications.

Hi, If you are staying here in the Philippines you can open an EON card in Union Bank. It's a debit visa card, where all your transaction in your Paypal account will be deposited in your EON card. It will only cost you Php.350.00 to open an EON account.
