how do google keeps on incresing its free space for gmail users

have you ever seen that the login page of google gmail shows how that they keeps on increasing free space every seconds. instead of increasing byte by byte every second why they dont put it all together for maximum level at one go. do know what they are actually doing weather they are incresing that space for a single user or for all the members having gmail account. when i scroll down the page in my google account in india it shows 74 MB and when i joind it, it had only 32 MB. what it shows in your country is it same or does it differ from here at india if you are using gmail. i tink they have diiferent size capacity for different countries as they are localized to their are. thaks
