Not all people are blessed with good parents. But in their course of life, they can always choose friends they are at ease with - those friends whom they treat as real family member. Many have studied and contemplated on how family life shapes the personality and views of an individual but I realized that friends can fill our emotional needs and insecurities, and can make us function well in the society we belong.
How do you choose your friends? Do you have preferences?

Indeed, we cannot choose our parents - but there's always a reason why we were given those sets. And even with our friends, they are situated in periods of our life where we most needed them. I do not necessarily choose my friends just so happen that usually the friends I make are those that jibe to my beliefs, hobbies.

I agree with you. As for me, i love the combination of my genes. And yes, it is easy to mingle with those who share same hobbies, interest and beliefs with you.
