What Specs Are Good For A Laptop?

Philippines

I am thinking of buying a laptop but quite hesitant because I do not know much about the specs. What I would do is do my online job, surf the net, upload pictures, make a mini movie, download songs and movies. I want something that the memory could be upgraded but in itself has a big capacity for memory and faster speed. What brands do you recommend? What specs should I look for? Any place online where to purchase it at a cheaper or discounted price. Oh by the way just legitimate sites only.

I suggest you should go to those savvy ones which is hp touchsmart TX2, this laptop is capable of mostly anything you wanted to do same as your desktop. The price is so far the cheapest amongst other touch screen laptop but this is not just a touch screen laptop it is a multi touch I think you should watch it on youtube my friend.

I think you should get a Lenovo or Dell with atleast a Core i3 or i5 with 2GB-4GB of RAM with a 160GB-250GB HDD

sorry I am not so techie but what does a RAM do? Does it need to have a higher GB than the memory? What's the difference between the hard drive and the memory aren't they the same?
