Do you believe in Soul mates?

Do you think God has made one person in this world just for you, who's your soul mate? Or do you feel that soul mates don't exist, and it's a myth. I feel that Soul Mates are not God made. They're man made. The moment you meet someone, the attraction you feel does not mean you're soul mates. I know of so many people who I thought were meant for each other, but broke up in the worst of ways possible. I feel when you work on your relationship, learn to understand each other in a matured and caring way, you slowly turn yourselves into soul mates. I'd love to know other people's opinion on this subject...

I agree with you. I think we just use the term for pepole who have a exceptional reltionship. I think that is just somthing that happens with the didication you put into it. I do think that some pepole do have a natural conection, I read somewhere that certain smells given off by persons can have a big part on how attrative and how responsive a first meeting can bring. I don't really know though? It's just a thought.

Ya, maybe some people's love at first sight grows into a soul mate relationship, but mostly everyone needs to work on their relation during the down periods. One can't expect miraculous relationships without even a little bit of effort..Nice point about the smells though. I think that might be true...

Yes, I agree with you and also I think Soul mate is sometimes used to designate someone with whom one has a feeling of deep and natural affinity, friendship, love, intimacy, etc. They can be close friends, co-workers, a teacher, anyone who influences your life one way or another. They play the emotional, spiritual, physical, and mental, games of third dimension with you. They can affect relationships in a positive or negative way depending on the emotional issues of the people concerned.

I believe if there would be no 'soul mates' would not stop talking about them ...some fairy tales have a grain of truth and depends largely on us if it's worth doing a fantasy from reality.

I believe in soul mates, but I do agree with you in some extent = that the attraction starts with the people involved. I think though that God still would have interference for you two to meet.

I do believe in soul mates. I do believe that God created a specific individual for you. I believe that when you see that person, gravity moves. It's something more than love at first site. The adoration you give on the other person is something immeasurable. Something beyond reality but exists. It's just like imprinting in the Twilight novels. I hope I would be able to meet my soul mate one day.

I feel that everyone needs a Soul Mate and he/she is very 'Special Person' for us. I agree with you that Soul Mates are not God made. We can find out our Soul mate but very carefuly because we can't believe everyone.

There's no such thing as soul mates, and your right if you want a working relationship you have to work for it and to learn to accept his fault's as well as his good sides

No, I don't believe in soul mates. Even people who have been together for decades still have problems that they have to work through...often very serious ones, too. Love is never easy and it requires determined commitment from two individuals to last.

hello megsshere if being "soul mates" means finding God's will for a lifetime partner then yes i do believe that God has pre-destined us for someone who will be our partner in what He has prepared for us here on earth. But it does not mean that everyone is meant to find that someone. Only those who seek God's will and only those God has chosen for a lifetime partnership could find it. There are those called to be single and the bible call them "blessed" for they do not have the same worries as those married while serving God. I believe that we all have our own paths laid down before us when we were born. And to know that path is to know Jesus because in the bible, Jesus said,"I am the way, the truth and the life". So if we know what Jesus want us to do with our lives then, we are on the right path that God has chosen for us. And if, in that path, a partner is included, then God knows that we are best with a lifetime partner; otherwise, then, we are best serving Him single.
