My husband often joke me that i don't cook well. He says that while cooking i should smile to make the dish taste better. Does a smile really help?

It's all about the positive energy you put into your cooking. You don't really have to smile. But if you cook with love and enthusiasm the food does taste better. I can tell from my own experience. When in a bad mood while cooking, the dish doesn't taste so good.

I don't think so L.O.L. But I try to smile when I am cooking, although I get so tired of cooking sometimes, but I guess he was just being nice to you and trying to give you encouragement. Have a good day and Smile!!!

Hi lingaypaculdar, I understand what your husband means by cooking with smile here. It's saying that a person with happy mood would smile and do whatever nicely and pleasantly. The food prepared for the loved ones surely will taste extremely delicious for, other than the required tasty stuffs, the happy chef put her love as well as caring as extra ingredients to the dishes made too Happy posting

I believe so. You should be smiling or happy while cooking and put love in it so that it will taste good. I think this applies to anything that we do. If we are unhappy with what what we are doing or we just don't love doing it, the result will just turn out bad. As in cooking, if our emotion is happy, we will put all the ingredients with love into our recipe, because our motivation is not only to feed our self, but also our loved ones.

No, I don't think a smile really helps, but what might help is if you think cooking is fun and enjoy it. Then you don't mind spending a bit more time on one single dish, and you will also want to experiment with different recipes and stuff, which would probably make you a better cook. Maybe that's what he means? (just a thought...)

Hi, lingaypaculdar. Well, it really does not matter. I don't smile when I am cooking. I usually have a serious look on my face. I also tend to have full concentration too. I think that cooking with a smile, is fine. But if you don't cook with one and you are not mad about something, then your food should turn out well.
