Participating in Auctions/Bidding?

Auctions/Bidding is insanely addictive! I hope you all agree on that. Wherever gambling is concerned, the mind gets deeper into it! So does anyone on myLot participate in auctions/bidding? Any good sites you would suggest? Share your experiences of online bidding. Have you ever won something in an auction? Do you think auctions or bidding is worth the risk?

Do online auctions count? If so, I bid on Ebay on a regular basis, but I am not sure I like the auction thing as much as I like the fact that I can get real bargains there! Of course, if it was not an auction site, I would not be able to find those bargains, so maybe I do like auctions after all? Hmm! Difficult question!

Ebay is one of the best auction sites. Having a fixed deadline is good thing. Nowadays the deadline system has changed and every time a bid is placed the deadline is increased. This is in a way an unfair practice.

I have tried to do that before but, only once. I did it because at that time, the item that I wanted to buy was very expensive locally so, when I ventured online, I saw an identical item but, was being auctioned at a low price. I tried to place my bids and as long as the price was still far from the price of the items that I can get locally, I continued. Luckily, I won the auction and got the item at a much lesser price. Of course, there are risks and its a little bit similar to gambling. Like gambling, it really gets a lot of your attention since there is something at stake that you really want to get.
