A Hamas official claims that they are having talks with the White House, they were told to keep it quiet so that the Jewish lobbyists wouldnt get wind of it. Well., we know how well they can keep a secret..... http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-3910714,00.html Our Supreme Court just ruled that you can not work with/ speak with terrorist groups. The US added Hamas to the Terrorist Watch list. So my question is, Do you believe that the White House is engaging in conversations with Hamas?

laglen, The Supreme Court may rule or instate all it wants there but that does not stop the Hamas or other known terrorists cells from picking up the phone and call the White House. Also, I do not think they would be stupid enough to say who they actually are to the operators on the switchboard before they actually get to speak to the actual party. In all fairness, I think the ruling will just be a ruling if no one pays attention and / or abides by it. Besides, there will be other bureaucracy tape ruling against not speaking with these cells. Anyway, politics itself is a dirty game and it will be up to the players (administrations) to see to it that they do not have to come to that stage or more people and lives will be suffering and lost. There's something to be learned from making deals with the devil and I hope the relevant people clearly remember the moral and outcome of that story.

I would not surprise me. Obama (just like Bush) does not think he has to follow laws that he does not agree with. What is it with presidents (and congress..heck politicans in general) thinking laws are only for us little people? Personally I would engage in conversation with Hama...but I don't think it would count as a conversation because it would be more along the lines of "cut it out or I am going to kick your a$$". Which I guess is more of a demand than a conversation. But at least it is talking to them. So it may still be illegal.

lol I like your talks! Power goes to their heads and they seem to think they are above the law and constitution!

Starting with Nixon they have all tried to do a deal with Hamas. Good luck Mr. President.

No, to tell you the truth, I don't think this is true. Hamas has a history of not sticking to the truth a lot of times, and I think this is one of those cases where they state things that are simply not correct. It would be very surprising if this turned out to be true, let me put it that way!
