Why more crude jokes are about wife??

To me its the men who are unhappy with the fact that they got married. I know alot of married couple that the man fits the "wife joke" more then the women does. But tring to make a joke out of him and he'll get mad; and everyone knows a man is a bigger baby than any wife!;) I do know a few women though that are mean to their husbands and fit the jokes as well but these are women that are just unhappy with everything in their lives. Which I don't understand that either. I believe that if it's a loving marriage, then it is the husbands responsibility to let his friends know that the jokes don't apply to his wife. But of course as they say, husbands will do as they wish and not a dish.:) (My grandmother told me that one years ago.)
