I was a t the grocery store this past weekend and I had bought some corn on the cob. When I got home I washed it and boiled it and when I was done it had like black and brown spots on it what do you think was wrong with this corn? It looked okay in the store. I am confused.

When you buy corn, take some of the husk off and check the kernells to make sure it looks ok before you do purchase it.
When you are cooking it, place in a pot that is big enough to hold the corn and add in some water with some sugar and bring it to a boil. Let the water boil for 20 minutes and not over 20 minutes or the corn will become socky and have brown spots on them and you don't want to eat that corn as it doesn't taste so good. If you have the corn to be sweet corn bring your water and sugar to a boil for only 20 minutes and you will have some good corn. Enjoy
