Tipping at a Restaurant

What is your attitude towards tipping? Some people say that a certain percentage of the meal's price should be given to the waiter or waitress while others say it depends on the quality of service of said waiter or waitress. What is your procedure for tipping and why? It seems fair to give fifteen percent because of their efforts, but if they have a bad disposition, they should get nothing.

I agree with you. Normally we tip about 15%. If the service is bad then nothing. But there are some things to keep in mind. If you tip above 15% regularly to the same server the will endeavor to give you better service. And one time we even got our meal paid for by our server as a Christmas gift for the large tips we had given him that year. So if you regularly eat at the same place and you have a server that you like then I would tip higher then the normal 15%. They will be willing to go that extra mile for you.
