What is it going to take before the Feds take it seriously

We have to secure our borders. The violence in Mexico is spilling over the border and it will only get worse. The cartels and the Mexican government are waging a war over who will control teh country and so far it does not look like the government is winning. Mexico announced today that a gubernatorial candidate in the state of Tamaulipas, Mexico was assasinated. Others in his campaign were killed with him. Earlier this month Guadalupe Mayor Jesus Manuel Lara Rodriguez was killed as his wife and child watched. Mexican police have been killed. There was an attempt to kill the President of Mexico not to long ago. Any politican or person who speaks out against the cartels opens themselves up for attack or murder. Mass graves have already been found. Mexico is a war zone. Already the cartel actions are bleeding over into our country. Police and border agents in the border states are being targeted and threatened with death by the cartels. Do we really want to end up like Mexico? Are we going to let the cartels start their terrorism in our country? We have to close the borders to stop them and the violance that comes with them. Tell me what you think.

I agree completely. They can kill each other if that is what they really want, I doubt it. And I have no problem, if they want our help to get control of their country. But we can NOT just sit here and let it happen.

I agree. If Mexico wants our help in stopping the cartels. I say help them...because it helps us too. If they don't...fine. We have to respect their decision. But if they don't want our help...then we need to take care of our own which means making sure it stays out of our country.

Honestly, I think...or rather am terrified...that is is going to take something on the order of a nuke being smuggled across in to the U.S. or some other large scale attack like that. Either that or the Mexican government failing and the country of Mexico falling in to total anarchy. Neither is really a comforting thought.

I think it is going to take teh mexican government completely failing to get our government to do anything...and at that time it will be too late. So ya...I am not feeling real warm or fuzzy either.
