When compared to heating my house(or just about everyone else)drinking warm water is much cheaper as a source for keeping warm. The last time I heard about how inexpensive water is was from a past Economics Teacher that taught me was waters is around 1/10 a cent per gallon from the facet. So basicly that totals up to 10 gallons for 1 cent. Its probably cost a little more now per gallon considering I heard that from that Economics Teacher over 10 ago back in high school.

We wear warmer clothes, snuggle up in blankets, and what also helps is being in the kitchen when the foods cooking, it keeps things warmer. Leaving the door to the oven open for a few minutes whilst the oven is cooling down also helps heat the room, and of course a fireplace, we use that quite often too.

No I do not drink warm water to keep warm. I like cold water only, I think warm water is nasty to drink, because it makes me think of urine.lol. I rather just stay warm by turning on the heater.

I think drinking anything that is warm or hot during the cold months really does help my body. So I do enjoy drinking the warm or hot drinks to keep my body normal. I just like to drink them to keep my body hydrated. But I do notice that I don't drink as much during the colder months.

Hi elmiko...this is the first time I ever heard of drinking warm water to stay warm. Hot coffee, hot tea, hot chocolate--yes, I do drink those. We try very hard to conserve, so instead of turning up the heat, we will cover with a blanket. I've been known to sit at my computer all covered up in a nice warm blanket.

I drink hot teas, hot cocoa and sometimes a hot buttered rum. We have wood stove and heat and wear warm clothing and sweaters.

Now hot coffee I c an always drink even on hot days. Proper clothes will do the job much easier and better.WArm water to a lot of people tastes gross.

Hi, elmiko. I don't drink warm water during the winter just like that. I still drink cold water. I agree that water probably costs more money now than it used to cost.

I also like that stuff also to make my body warm and stay strong to do something in cold days. Its better to add chocolate drinks, or whatever to make it complete snacks in the middle of the meals. I always get sleepy If cannot take a warm drink and might affect my work too. It helps so much to stay active to do the activities in workplace and in anywhere.

just warm water? that's not too appealing to drink. to stay warm, i drink hot cocoa which may not be a cheaper alternative for i use hot milk and shavings of my favorite chocolate bar. i've heard of hugging a warm bottle of water to stay warm but not really drinking warm water.

No, I drink tea or coffee, though, and wear layers of clothes, and try not to keep windows and such things open for too long. Also, I take long hot showers or baths when I need to, in order to get warm. These tips may sound really silly and small, but they work!

I drink hot coffee or hot chocolate to stay warm, I've never tried just plain hot water. I feel good drinking hot coffee while it's cold and raining outside, matched with some cookies or brownies.
